Govt’s initiative for spreading Marathi

marathi1Mumbai: The state government has sanctioned on some grounds to establish 36 Marathi medium aided high schools as an exceptional case in the border areas of Chandrapur, Sangli and Nasik districts.

The government took the decision as the Marathi speaking population in the border areas of the state has to take education in other language as there were lack of resources of Marathi medium education system.

It is seen that there was not a single Marathi medium high school in the border area of the state into these districts. All the 36 Marathi medium schools will be started in those villages where the minimum student’s presence will be of 20 by each division.

The high schools will be started by the private educational institutes. But the government will aid 20% of the amount from the first year as an exceptional case.
