Adapt collective farming and make every village green: Rane
Minister of Industry and Minister in-charge of Sindhudurg district, Narayan Rane emphasized on collective farming on Tuesday.
Kankavali: Farmers in Sindhudurg district must adapt collective farming in a professional way to green their lands, appealed Minister of Industry and Minister in-charge of Sindhudurg district, Narayan Rane on Tuesday.
Rawalnath Agriculture Collective have successfully yield Marigold and various vegetables on 15 acres of land at Karanje. Rane was contented to look at the project. In the guidance of Congress District President Satish Sawant, a team of Mahesh Dichwalkar, Damu Sawant, Anand Thakur, Santosh Parab have successfully completed this project and set a trend in district.
Vegetables and cereals like Guard, Cucumber, Snake Guard, Lady Finger, Flat Green Beans, Ground Nuts, Corn, Ragi, Horse Gram and Black Lentil are grown on this land. Rane seeded the plant of Sonchampa on this land. This cultivation was guided by Principal Pedanekar of Marathe Agriculture College.
The production from this farming was one and a half tone Guard, one and a half tone Lady Finger, One tone Snake Guard, two tones Cucumber. Also, the production of 250 kg Marigold is yielded every day. The production of Ground Nuts, Ragi and Horse Gram and Black Lentil will be taken soon.
