BJP to form govt in Maharashtra: Amit Shah

Amit ShahNew Delhi: The BJP chief Amit Shah said on Sunday that the victory in Haryana and Maharashtra are two steps more in making ‘India Congress-free’.

Mr. Shah also added “From the victory it is clear that Narendra Modi has become the ‘undisputed’ leader of India.”

He reiterated that the election result is a stamp of approval of Mr. Modi government’s work and policies at the Centre.

On asked about the NCP’s unconditional support to BJP in government formation, Mr. Shah “The largest party in a democracy has the right to form government.

“NCP has offered unconditional support from outside. It has not talked of an alliance.”

Mr. Shah also said “NCP does not want to join the government. No talks held with anybody so far.”

On asked about the alliance with Shiv Sena, Mr. Shah said “We didn’t end alliance with Shiv Sena”. He further added “Breaking the alliance was not our decision. We respect our allies, but we can’t keep alliances by sacrificing our party workers.”
