Industries minister Narayan Rane appealed the youth on 150th Birth anniversary program of Swami Vivekananda
Kankavali: On the 150th birth anniversary celebration program of Swami Vivekananda, Industries Minister Narayan Rane appealed the youth to commit themselves in the dream of Swami Vivekananda’s dream of nation building.
There is a 60% of youth in India. Rane said that It was the need of the hour that the youth should inculcate the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and they should develop the country by eradicating poverty.
On the occasion, Ramakrishna Math, Pune had started a Rathyatra which reached Kankavli on Monday. Aryanand Saraswati of Ramakrishna Math felicitated Rane by handing over Swami Vivekananda’s books.
District Bank chairmen Rajan Teli, Mayor Adv. Pradnya Khot, Dr. Milind Kulkarni were present at the program.
Rane said that Swami Vivekananda brought Indian culture and Adhyatma at global reach and it resulted positive impacts on global minds. His thoughts are alive and they do motivate and guide many at present.
Rane further said that his thoughts are capable of changing the youth and the nation at large. He said, “Swamiji gave importance to sacrifice and service. He strived for the last man in the society who should not be hungry. It is the need of the hour that his thoughts to be inculcated amongst the youth of the country. It would be revolutionary to bring the intellectual maturity in the youth of the country with Swamiji’s thoughts,” he said.
Aryananda Swami guided the audience on ‘Swami Vivekananda’s impact on westerners’ during the program.
