Changing face of Post services is important for customers
Post service employees must utilize the advancements and modern technologies offered under Project Arrow to fast track their services like private companies.
Vengurle: Post service now needs to be more efficient than private companies. Customers earlier had complete faith in Post which was left behind in the competition of private companies. But now Post service employees must utilize the advancements and modern technologies offered under Project Arrow to fast track their services like private companies. They should work to generate the same trust amongst their customers. This changing face of Post services is very important for customers, opined The Member of Parliament Dr Nilesh Rane.
He inaugurated the Post office at Vengurle which is renovated under Project Arrow, on Tuesday. The President of Zila Bank Rajan Teli, Mayor Pooja Karpe, Deputy Mayor Waman Kamble, Post Superintendent of Sindhudurg J D Bhosale, Goa Superintendent Dr S Shivram, Assistant Officer Gopal Reddy were also present at the occasion.
Dr Rane appreciated good changes that are taking place in Post services. He said, “We try to give best quality Post services to customers from the Central Government. We always support the discussions on this topic at Parliament. Then the Minister of this department Jyotiraditya Shinde had brought this concept of Project Arrow in 2008 with the aim to raise the class of the department. Under which the service is now being launched at Vengurle. The Government always tries to bring such good concepts for people. But their success has to be evaluated. To succeed in this era of competition, employees should compete with work.
It is commendable that the officers of the department have already started their efforts to offer better services. But it is also necessary to keep watch on the work of employees. The quality of your work is dependent on the service that you provide to your customers. Post services are good in Sindhudurg district but now you should attempt to make it better, said Dr Rane.
He also clarified that the Post department owns some lands at Kankawali and Sawantwadi. We would discuss with local corporations and take decision about constructing building for Post and will also try and complete the buildings.
