CIDCO committed to build 50,000 houses in next three years
The forms for the CIDCO housing project at Kharghar would be collected till December 30
Navi Mumbai: The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) is committed to build 50,000 houses in the next three years under the ‘Nano Flat scheme’ so as the common man can afford to live in the flats, CIDCO President Pramod Hindurao said.
He further said that the forms for the CIDCO housing project at Kharghar would be collected till December 30.
Addressing a press conference, Hindurao said that the agency had constructed more than 1 lakh houses earlier. Now CIDCO is committed to construct 50,000 more houses.
At present CIDCO’s housing project is in progress at Kharghar out of which the middle class and higher middle class houses are ready for sale. Hindurao said that houses for lower middle class and economically weak class are also being built in the same project.
In which 2600 houses are allotted for lower middle class and 968 houses are allotted for economically weak class. He clarified that the rates for these houses were not finalized yet.
The CIDCO president said that the agency was also planning to build the ‘Second Homes’ at peaceful place outside the MMRDA as per the availability of the land.
Hindurao said that the decision over the proposal would be taken at a board of directors meeting in January. He confirmed that any kind of compromise would not be taken place in the quality of the construction.
