Cultivators to decide policies of Mango board
The government is setting up Mango and Cashew Board for which a meeting will be held on 28th January
Devgadh: The government is setting up Mango and Cashew Board for which a rally will be held on 28th January. The policies and direction of the Board will be decided only after knowing opinions of Mango farmer. Therefore, the Guardian Minister Narayan Rane has called a district level rally of Mango cultivators at Devgadh on 24th January at 11 am, informed Dr Milind Kulkarni in a press conference.
He also said that Rane has taken tremendous efforts to get Mango and Cashew Board established. This is like a ‘dream come true’ situation for Mango cultivators and this meeting is called to discuss ‘Mango’ as a special topic. This assembly is not arranged by any political party or organization but the Guardian Minister himself. Hence, it is names as ‘Palakmantri Nimantrit-Phalancha Raja Amba, Amba Bagayatdarancha Melava’ which means ‘The Guardian Minister Invited-King of Fruits-Mango Cultivator’s Rally’.
All the Mango and Cashew cultivators must attend this rally. Topics that will be discussed includes issues of Mango cultivators, administrative and commercial system, export, radio tests, intensification of Fruit Research lab, strengthening of buying-selling centre, planning of RoRo service to transport Mango by train from Nandgaon; apart from this topics like supply of Kerosin, market yard will also be discussed. Also, Rane will stir up the discussion on the methods of auction, in the market. A firm and awaited policies right from seeding to export and selling will be decided in this rally.
The cultivators should submit their issues to Advocated Avinash Mangaonkar for Devgadh and Hemant Sawant and Pakaj Dali for district; so that all the proposals can be filed and forwarded to Rane. The proposals are to be submitted by 22nd January.
Dr Milind Kulkarni has appealed all the Mango cultivators to attend this rally and make it a huge success. He is meeting expert cultivators in regards to this meeting; they will also be felicitated at the rally, informed Dr Kulkarni.
