Dahanu local from Churchgate, now even at nights
By considering increase in demand, night local from Churchgate to Dahanu is on the minds of Western Railway
Virar: Western Railway is thinking about night local for Dahanu to fulfill increasing demand of commuters. But it will be executed only after the supply of new trains, informed a senior officer of Western Railway. It would be a double treat for Dahanukars.
To reach Dahanu, Palghar, Boisar, Safale, Kelve Raod and Waitarana from Mumbai one had to get down at Virar and board MEMU train. Another option was to take passenger trains from Mumbai Central. But Dahanu local gave relief to commuters and facilitate direct journey to Dahanu from Mumbai.
Currently, three locals from Churchgate 5.24. 10.06 And 15.22 depart for Dahanu. From Dadar local runs for Dahanu at 5.15, 16.55 and 18.00.
But commuters were demanding local at night time for Dahanu. Vasai-Virar Corporation’s Corporator Rajkumar Chorghe requested Western Railway in writing for locals till 21.00 from Churchgate and Dadar to meet public’s demand. Railway has assured to take the matter seriously and think over it.
