Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada varsity gets A grade from NAAC


The varsity became the only third to receive the higher grade after Mumbai and Pune universities

Marathwada-UnivercityAurangabad: The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedakr Marathwada University  (BAMU) was assigned ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)  of the University Grant Commission (UGC).

Talking with reporters, Dr. Vijay Pandharipande, vice-chancellor, BAMU said, “It is the proud moment in the history of the university. The journey was based upon the university motto “University for Society”,” he said.

The university has become the only third one to receive the ‘A’ grade after the Mumbai and Pune university in the state. The peer team of the NAAC, chaired by Dr. P. S. Zakaria, visited the university between 27th and 30th August.

The report and proposition from the team stood fruitful and the university adminsitraton received the mail from the council. The message brought the lauds and applause among the all faculties as well as among the students.

Pandharipande said, “Our University is striving to walk along with the time and ‘A’ grade has certainly boosted our morals to lead the path with positive energy,” he said.
