Dr Nilesh Rane has spent highest that is 88.58 per cent of his MP fund in five talukas of Ratnagiri
Ratnagiri: The Member of Parliament for Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency Dr Nilesh Rane has spent highest that is 88.58 per cent of his MP fund in five talukas of Ratnagiri. He was appreciated by opposition Shivsena’s MP Anant Geete at MP fund review meeting for spending highest amount of funds to make sure that the development works reach even at the remote locations.
The assessment of MP funds for nine talukas under Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg and Raigadh-Ratnagiri Lok Sabha constituency took place at the meeting of District Rural Development and Prevention and control committee. The meeting was chaired by MP Anant Geete in a District Officer’s office on Monday.
Dr Nilesh Rane was allotted Rs 10,91,95,000 for Chiplun, sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Lanja and Rajapur, of which Rs 6,49,48,000 were spent which is the highest amount any MP have spent of development works in his constituency till date. Dr Rane has relentlessly achieved average 88 per cent expense on development works. Geete appreciated and congratulated Dr Rane over this in a meeting.
Geete, MP for Raigadh-Ratnagiri constituency, has spent Rs 3,67,34,000 of Rs 7.48 lakh allotted to conduct development works at Khed, Mandangadh, Dapoli and Guhargar talukas of Ratnagiri.
Dr Rane proposes development works at Dabhol worth Rs 55 lakh
Dr Rane has appealed to the Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan for funds to undertake development works at Dabhol district council group. Chavan is also the President of Koyna Earthquake Rehabilitation Fund Committee.
The earthquake had damaged buildings, roads and irrigation systems. Hence, Dr Rane has given proposal for the funds from Committee to commence eight development projects.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Committee K M Deshpande gave instructions to technical engineers of Ratnagiri Public Construction department to prepare estimate and plan and inform Committee about it immediately. The proposed development works are worth Rs 55 lakh.
