Chiplun: Every issue related to Konkan will remain on my agenda; especially my fight on the issues related to Konkan railway will remain constant. I insist on demand for two laning of Konkan railway route. Though the report of Nagothane accident is yet to come, I will pursue other railway related issues, said MP for Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha constituency, Dr Nilesh Rane.
He was speaking while visit to Chiplun for court work regarding Asurde railway station protest. He was accompanied by former MLA Subhash Bane, Ganpat Kadam, Taluka President Sandip Sawant, Town President Parimal Bhosale, Vice Town President Liyakat Shah, Water supply Chairman Kabir Kadri, Bunty Wanju, Sameer Zari, Irshad Wangade, Ramdas Rane, Rakesh Waje, Santosh Khair, Satish Ghag, Kundan Khatu, Faisal Pilpile etc. While speaking to Press here, Dr Rane said that he will keep fighting and pursuing issues related to Konkan and Konkan railways.
He believes that Nagothane accident could have been prevented if route had been two lanes. He also informed that various tasks like surveys and land acquisitions are undergoing for expansion of Mumbai-Goa highway and assured that he will look into the work critically.
When asked about untimely rain, he admitted that disaster management system collapsed at the calamity but he will discuss with district collectors and instruct authorities accordingly.
Not skeptical about winning
Dr Nilesh Rane is sure that he will win this Lok Sabha election with not less than 1.25 vote majority. He said people trust him for his public relation, 100 percent expenditure of MP fund and struggle to resolve their issues which makes him hopeful about winning this election with majority.
