Filling online ‘F-Form’ details is compulsory for Sonography centres
The state government has asked the sonography centres to submit the details of their patients on weekly basis
Mumbai: The state government has taken positive steps to deal with the issue of female feticide. In a latest decision, all the sonography centres in the state have been asked to fill up the online ‘F-Form’.
The doctors are asked to fill up the details of the patients of one week with the doctor’s remarks on them. Those medicos, who will not submit the details, will have to face the disciplinary action.
The issue of female feticide turned serious in past few years in the state. The state was heading ahead in the malpractice in the country. Taking the note of the serious situation, the state government has taken various steps to deal with the issue and control the problem. Disciplinary actions have been taken against the mal practitioner doctors and most of them have been sent behind the bars. Now the state government has asked the sonography centres to fill up the online ‘F-Form’ to keep details on the workings of these centres.
Meanwhile, some of the owners of the sonography centres have opposed the plan. Talking with Prahaar, Dr. Govind Raj, Director, National Rural Health Mission, said, that the owners discussed the issue with the officials of the health department. Thus those owners of the sonography centres were unable to fill up the details on daily basis, are asked to fill up the details per week compulsorily.
There are 8,881 sonography centres in the state. Out of them 5,879 centres are available to provide the service.
