Flipkart, M&M in tie-up for online bookings of KUV100
Bengaluru : E-commerce giant Flipkart today announced an exclusive tie-up with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd for online bookings of the newly launched KUV100.
The bookings for the compact SUV will open from midnight January 18, the two companies said.
Anil Goteti, Vice President – Business, Flipkart said for the first time in the automobile category, the exclusive tie-up will allow Mahindra access Flipkart’s extensive reach and network to connect with their customers and provide them the ease to book Mahindra KUV100 online.
Flipkart launched automobiles as a category last month. The two entities have come together to deliver superior customer experience with assured in-a-month delivery, the companies said in a joint release.
Veejay Ram Nakra, Senior Vice President, Sales & Customer Care, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “Being two young brands, both KUV100 and Flipkart complement each other. This tie-up with Flipkart further reinforces our customer centric initiatives.”
Auto major Mahindra had yesterday launched compact SUV KUV100, targeted at the first-time car buyers and youth, with a starting price tag of Rs 4.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
The launch also marked the company’s debut in the petrol segment.
The petrol engine debuting on the car is a 1198cc, 1.2 litre ‘mfalcon’ engine delivering an 82bhp of power. The diesel variant also uses a 1,198cc engine, which has also been developed anew. KUV100 is the ninth offering from Mahindra this year.
