Four Maoists, involved in at least six cases, were today arrested in a joint operation of police and CRPF
maoistsMotihari: Four Maoists, involved in at least six cases, were today arrested in a joint operation of police and CRPF and a rich haul of arms and ammunition recovered in East Champaran district.

The operation was led by Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh in Panchpakri police outpost area, superintendent of police Vinay Kumar said.

The arrested Maoists have been identified as Baidyanath Paswan alias Baidjee alias Mukhiyajee, Maheshwar Singh, Vijay Kumar Ram and an underage.

The police recovered two country-made pistols, 17 cartridges, 3 motorcycles, 4 mobiles, naxal literature and a letter pad.

Baidyanath Paswan is a top ranking Maoist whose operation area included Sitamarhi, Sheohar and East Champaran districts, the SP said.
