Gang of robbers busted in Nashik, six held
Nashik: With the arrest of six persons of a gang, district police have claimed to solve at least four robbery cases and cash of around Rs 27 lakh was recovered from them.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sunil Kadasane and Dy SP Naresh Megharajan said that the accused were arrested on May 25.
During interrogation,two of them have confessed of committing four robberies and a computer theft in Yeola, Malegaon and Nandgaon tehsil in the district, Kadasane said.
The accused have been identified as Tausif Shaikh (24), Ajit Kolhe (27), Nandkishor Dhange (26), Santosh Gorakh Valte (21), Shankar Dhange (44) and Shankar Misal (26), he added.
“We have recovered Rs 27.56 lakh cash, two cars and two motorcycles from them. They were involved in a bank theft in Yeola on May 5,” police said.
A local court has remanded them to police custody till May 28.
