Hanuman.com to be world-premiered after Cannes foray
After wooing over the Cannes audiences, Prosenjit and German actor Saskia Ranwing-starrer ‘Hanuman.com’
Kolkata: After wooing over the Cannes audiences, Prosenjit and German actor Saskia Ranwing-starrer ‘Hanuman.com’, the first Indian film to be shot extensively in Iceland, will be world premiered in Singapore this week.
“This is the first time actors from Bengali film industry and the international cast including celebrated German actor Saskia Ranwing will together walk the red carpet at the Golden Village Great World City marking a new phase in Tollywood,” film’s producer Namit Bajoria said.
“The Cannes one-time screening of Hanuman.com, coupled with the world release in Singapore, will contribute in the globalisation of content-rich Tollywood flicks and show the outside audiences what kind of works are now being done by our film makers,” Prosenjit said while moving into a minus five temperature zone right in heart of tropical Kolkata, to recreate the feel of ice terrains locale in the arctic land.
Besides targetting the Indian diaspora, including Bengalees from India as well as Bangladeshis, Hanuman.com did have the large canvas and the mount of a Hollywood film, with the grainy texture and look that will probably be liked by the global community, film’s director Gaurav Pandey said.
“This film’s Singapore release is in sync with its truly international look which boasts of a mixed global cast, actors and crew from Berlin besides that of Bengal, and Iceland,” the ‘Shanghaai’ actor added.
