Kankavali: The Rajeev Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana will be executed soon in Sindhudurg to be proved as a heath protection shield for citizens. The attempts of Narayan Rane, the Minister of Industries, could make it possible. The project will be inaugurated in the last week of November in the presidency of Rane and in the presence of Health Minister Suresh Shetty and the Member of Parliament Dr Nilesh Rane, informed Satish Sawant, the District President of Congress.
Under this scheme, families having less than Rs 1 lakh income per annum are entitled to receive medical treatment worth Rs 1.5 lakh in a year. Around 971 diseases and surgeries are included in this scheme.
Sawant called a press conference in Congress’s office at Kankavli. The Chairman Santosh Kanade and Office Head Sandip Bhosale were present at the meeting. The citizens of Sindhudurg who fall in the bracket (below 1 lakh annual income), will be benefited under this scheme. Multi-specialty hospitals in the district are included in this scheme. Therefore, 25 per cent beds will be reserved. The service will be started at Dr Ajay Swar, Dr Pravin Birmole, Dr Sameer Navre, Dr Anant Nagavekar, Dr Vidyadhar Tayshate, District Hospital Oros, Dr Makarand Parulekar, Dr Amog Chube, Dr Jaysinghrao Rane, Dr Limaye and Sanjeevani Pediatric Hospital.
Arogya Mitras are appointed as insurance agents. Ration Card will be accepted in recent situation to benefit citizens over 971 diseases, checkups and surgeries. The cost for every disease is set in advance, so that every beneficiary would get quality services, believes Sawant.
