Jumbo recruitment drive in 16 Municipal hospitals
Around 1600 posts including Nurse, Ward Boy, Clerk, etc. are to be filled in the short time
Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is soon to be launching a recruitment drive at 16 general hospitals. Around 1600 posts including Nurse, Ward Boy, Clerk, etc. are to be filled in the short time.
The civic administration has signaled green for this recruitment drive and hence soon the advertisements in this subject are to be displayed in the newspapers.
There are around 1 lakh 18 thousand officials and employees work at BMC.
But on average thousands of employees get retired annually. Many of vacancies are not filled because of the time taking nature of the administration. Many vacancies at civic body run hospitals are vacant because of the same reason. But now the process is started.
The decision is going to help the 16 hospitals run in the suburbs of the city in which 1600 posts were not filled.
Earlier the patients have to run to other hospitals like Nair, KEM and Sion Hospital. But now with the filling up the new posts, the technicalities will soon be sorted out.
Talking with Prahaar, Dr. Suhasini Nagada, Director, Municipal Medical Hospital, said, “It is for the first time the vacancies are getting filled. The recruitment is taking place only for the patients in the suburbs to get better medical service. The recruitment process would be completed in next three months,” she said.
