‘Kenya’ at top in ‘Mumbai Marathon’
A Kenyan runner won the internationally most awaited ‘Mumbai Marathon’
Mumbai: Like every year, a Kenyan runner won the internationally most awaited ‘Mumbai Marathon’. Kenya’s Evans Cheruiyot crossed the finish line first followed by Lawrens at second and Filomin on third position.
Mumbai Marathon started in zest and vigor on this chilly Sunday morning at 5.45am with Half Marathon. Sudha Singh won the Half Marathon and Kavita Raut stood second. In Men’s Half Marathon, Bengaluru’s Indrajeet Patel won the first place, Kochi Mathew second and Mansingh won the third place.
Kenyan runners had been on top in a men’ category of Full and Half marathon for last 10 years. They have obtained the winner’s position seven times. Where, in women category, Ethiopian runners have made their place at the top.
