Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituencies will undergo polling on Thursday April 17 from 7AM to 6PM
Sindhudurg: Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituencies will undergo polling on Thursday April 17 from 7AM to 6PM. Hence the candidates are not keeping any stone unturned to campaign in their electorate. Total 13, 55,000 voters including 6, 36,006 voters from Sindhudurg are all excited to execute their franchise to elect their representative. Polling will take place on 913 polling centres in Sindhudurg.
District administration is also taking all the possible efforts to spread awareness about voting and increase percentage in the region. District Collector E Ravindran personally attends street plays organized in awareness campaign and appeal people to vote.
Election campaigning will come to the halt at 5pm on Tuesday. Total 10 candidates will be contesting from these constituencies; but the real battle is between candidate of National Congress, Rashtrawadi Congress, Kunabi Sena and RPI (Kawade group) Dr Nilesh Rane and Shivsena-BJP alliance’s Vinayak Raut.
Total 4,500 employees are working for smooth functioning of voting process here. The campaigning reached another stratum when political biggies like CM Prithviraj Chavan, Dy CM Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane, President of Rashtrawadi Congress and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar visited this region.
