Man injured in firing during group clash in Alwar
Jaipur: A man was injured in firing during a clash between two groups of labour contractors at a factory in Alwar district today, police said.
The two factions pelted stones at each other and vandalised the factory office in Behror area when the management of factory intervened in the matter, they said.
“There was a dispute between two labour contractors. One of them was the old contractor while the other was engaged recently by the company management to provide the labour,” Dy SP Behror Tejpal Singh said.
“The old contractor was still sending labourers to the factory which was objected to by the new contractor. This issue led to the clash today. Someone opened fire in which one person, Balwan, received bullet injuries in his leg,” he said.
Police said they have detained a few members from both the sides.
Alwar SP, Vikas Kumar said security has been tightened in the area and the situation was under control.
