Mangala Express derails, 3 dead, several trains cancelled
Three loses lives at Mangala Express derailing accident
Nashik: Ten coaches i.e S-8, S-9, S-10, S-11, B-1, B-2, B-3, A-1, GS1, SLR of 12618 Nizamuddin- Ernakulam Mangala Lakshadeep Express has derailed at 6.25 am at Kms 143/2 at Ghoti near Igatpuri Station today.
Three persons are reported to be dead and 29 injuries including 7 injured admitted at Nasik and 22 injured admitted at Ghoti Hospital.
One Special Train with 22 coaches consisting of one AC 2-Tier, One 3-tier AC, 13 Sleeper Class, 5 General Second Class and 2 General Second Class cum Guards Brake Van has left Lokmanya Tilak Terminus towards Igatpuri and will run as 12618 Mangala Express Special from Igatpuri to Ernakulam carrying the Passengers towards their destination. Ten Buses carried the passengers from the derailed site to Igatpuri Station.
Senior Railway Officials including General Manager, Central Railway has immediately rushed to the site to monitor the relief operations.
