Beneficiaries and enquireres under pressure
Mumbai: The official website of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Agency (MHADA), www.mhada.org, is down from past 15 days. The MHADA beneficiaries are under pressure as they are uninformed when the site will be recovered.
Earlier the beneficiaries could use the official site and could observe the detailed updates about the agency’s latest projects.
When Prahaar correspondent contacted MHADA officials, they said that the site is kept closed for the security audit. Considering the fact that such sudden action may occur chaos and the MHADA beneficiaries may have to face the trauma, but the agency administration has not taken any prior steps to avoid the lack of communication.
All the necessary important information regarding the houses, names of beneficiaries, possession details, ineligibility of the applicants, etc. were available on the MHADA website.
One of the beneficiaries said that earlier he used to check the details about the project on the agency site from home. He said that may be because of the heavy online traffic on the site, the site gets hanged quite a few times. But for him it was shocking to see that the site was down for more than 15 days.
