‘Modi’s silence on Raje, Sushma over Lalitgate acceptance of their crime’
Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on Lalitgate controversy involving External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, is acceptance of their crime, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot today said.
The former chief minister of Rajasthan said it was surprising that despite the entire controversy involving Swaraj and Raje, the Prime Minister had not taken any action against them.
“The Prime Minister is silent which is also acceptance of their (Raje, Swaraj) crime. He is trying to protect them,” he alleged.
Gehlot also reiterated his demand for resignation of Raje on moral grounds.
He alleged that Raje did “anti-national” activity by giving affidavit in support of former IPL boss Lalit Modi with a condition that authorities in India should not know about it.
“The CM till date has not disclosed anything on this because she is guilty conscious,” he said.
“If this would have been Congress regime, two-three people would have been resigned,” he said, adding, BJP is a symbol of corruption and black money.
