Narayan Rane calls it unfitting to insult Manohar Joshi
Minister called it ‘Destiny’s revenge’
Mumbai: Industry Minister Narayan Rane called it ‘unfitting’ over the insult drama of senior Shivsena leader Manohar Joshi. He targeted Uddhav Thackeray calling him ‘new leadership’ for the whole drama.
Rane further said that the new party leadership did not add to the strength of the party but ruined it by eliminating people from it. He also said that if Balasaheb Thackeray were there, he would not have allowed happening such incident.
The media was much engrossed over the reaction from Narayan Rane on Manohar Joshi’s insult in public. When journalists asked his reaction in the Mantralaya, Rane said, “Manohar Joshi had worked for many years for the party and led the party at various occasions. It is unfitting to see a 77 years old senior leader to be insulted like this,” he said.
He said, “I am really wondered about the leaders present on the stage. Nobody from them took efforts to control the crowd. Senior party leaders also kept mum. No one realized that what happened with Joshi today may recur with them in future. People don’t believe in the new party leadership anymore,” he said.
Remembering Shivsena chief Balasaheb Thackeray, Rane said, “If he were there, he would have had a conversation with Joshi in a close room. He would not have allowed his leader’s insult publicly like the way it happened. This is the main difference between the Shivsena chief and new leadership,” he said.
Targeting Joshi, Rane said, “Manohar Joshi put down many people. Uddhav Thackeray did same with Joshi. This is a destiny’s revenge,” he said.
