Nineteen project affected gets job at Nuclear Energy Project
19 project affected people are given job at the proposed Jaitapur-Madban Nuclear Energy Project and have joined to the work where nine more have applied for the job
Rajapur: 19 project affected people are given job at the proposed Jaitapur-Madban Nuclear Energy Project and have joined to the work where nine more have applied for the job. 122 project affected people have informed in a written declaration that they do not want job; company has given them Rs 5 lakh as compensation.
In the five villages, 303 beneficiaries out of total 2336 are given certificate as ‘project affected’ by the district rehabilitation department. 483 more people have applied for this certification. All the 2336 beneficiaries who have received their amount of compensation are asked by the department to apply at the District Land Acquisition department for this certification. The project affected people have taken affirmative stand about proposed Jaitapur-Madban Nuclear Energy project so they are applying for the jobs in this project. The Minister of Industries Narayan Rane particularly insist to give preference to these project affected people for appointments in the project and have taken initiative to avail training to locals from these companies.
Till date, 19 project affected people have joined their jobs in the project. One person from one company will be offered a job at project and those who do not wish to work in the project can declare so in writing to get compensation of Rs 5 lakh from the company. A certificate must be obtained for this from district land acquisition department.
