Now 24 hours Emergency Wards to run in 14 Medical Colleges
A decision to start ‘Emergency Wards’ in 14 medical colleges in the state, that could save the lives of many in critical situations, has been taken
The first half an hour of the accident or in case of heart attack is the most crucial time in the victims’ lives. Many a time people die because they cannot get the emergency help in those critical hours when struggling for life.
Talking with Prahaar, Dr. Praveen Shingare, Director, Medical Education and Research, said, “ 14 medical colleges with specialized doctors are set to run the emergency wards for the duration of 24 hours so that the patients could get in time treatment,” he said.
Shingare further said that doctors will be specially trained for the effective functioning of these wards so that the discipline, cleanliness and proper care of the patients should be possible through these wards.
It is also reported that there would be team of experts including the Dean, Professors, Associate Professors and Resident Doctors. These doctors will be appointed in ‘EMS’ department.
