Now ‘Jhadu’ is available for online sale after AAP’s sweeping success!
The promotional price of Rs 5 would be valid for the first 1,000 orders and will be increased after the promotional stock is over
New Delhi: ‘Jhadu’ (brooms), once a humble household cleaning tool, has gained star status after Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP’s) rise to power and now it is set to make its online debut with e-Commerce firm Tradus selling it on its website.
Tradus.com, a location-based online marketplace, will sell ‘jhadu’, AAP’s election symbol, for Rs 5 through its website.
“With this, all the Aam Aadmis can join the movement for a corruption- free Delhi and celebrate the birth of a new India,” Tradus said in a statement.
The promotional price of Rs 5 would be valid for the first 1,000 orders and will be increased after the promotional stock is over, it added.
“The Jhadu has become a symbol of change and honesty, which resonates well with Tradus’ endeavor of bringing nearby sellers that offer honest prices to buyers. We encourage all our patrons to own this Jhadu at an honest price and celebrate the birth of a corruption-free Delhi,” Tradus CEO Mudit Khosla said.
AAP, with its slogan of ‘Jhadu Chalao Beimaan Bhagao’ (Use the broom, sweep out the corrupt), had chosen Jhadu as its symbol to represent its fight against corruption and for cleansing the political system in the country.
