With an aim to facilitate regular electricity supply to Ratnagiri city, an additional energy source will be created, said Samant
Ratnagiri: With an aim to facilitate regular electricity supply to Ratnagiri city, an additional energy source will be created for which a new 33kv power substation will be built at Rahatagarh to provide regular electricity via Pawas substation, informed the Guardian minister of Ratnagiri Uday Samant in a press conference. The fund of Rs 6.40 crore is approved for this project. We will try to complete it before monsoon, he said.
Meanwhile, a new experimentation of almost 4 km underground electricity cables will be undertaken between Bhatye and Rahatgarh, for which the fund of Rs 1.40 crore is approved.
A project of underground electricity cable will be evaluated closely and if successful it will be implemented all over the city. Places like Ramaali, Gokhle Naka, Dhanji Naka, Radhakrushna Naka are trapped in the web of these cables, underground cables will be a good solution to remove this web, he said.
Condition of public contribution relaxed
A condition of 10 per cent public contribution levied by the government for irrigation schemes is relaxed. There will be difference in the amount of contribution charged to ordinary people and those below poverty line. The condition is not completely scrapped but now people will be able to contribute as per their will, so that the irrigation projects will be completed, believed the Guardian Minister.
