Online Bird watching in Mumbai today
Ornithologist Sanjay Monga’s initiative
Mumbai: Many a time we can see sparrows, crows, pigeons and also squirrels and Bulbul once in a blue moon. Most of us surely have a curiosity to know about their habitat and enthusiasts can satisfy their curiosity through ‘Bird India’.
Commemorating the Republic day, ‘Bird India’, an online bird watching program is to be held. Noted ornithologist Sanjay Monga has taken an initiative for this program. Any one across the country can participate in it.
As the mid-winter is on its way, this atmosphere is most suitable time for bird watching. People can register the information online about the birds they could see even from their balconies and terraces. Anyone can register the information about the birds they could see while traveling or down the road.
It is reported that selected photos would be uploaded on the website.
Talking with Prahaar, Sanjay Monga, said, “This is the first time that such online bird watching program is getting organized. The next online bird watching sessions will be organized on 1st May and 15th August. The interested ones should contact on: firstname.lastname@example.org and can ask their concerns and replies will be given within a week,” he said.
