OPCW, the winner of 2013 Nobel Peace Prize, couldn’t receive the phone calls from the selection committee, tweets got a buzz
Mumbai: Twitter is buzzing from this morning after a Twitter account associated with the Nobel Prize Committee tweeted to the recipient of the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize, the OPCW who didn’t answer the telephone call.
In a Tweet to the OPCW handle, it(committee) tweeted, “@OPCW Please contact us @Nobelprize_org we are trying get through to your office,” it said.
It was seen that it didn’t work. The Nobel Prize committee handle again twitted saying, “The live webcast is now over. We are still trying to reach @OPCW.”
No sooner did the prestigious award committee’s tweeted hard, contacting the world chemical weapons watchdog, Twitteratis across the globe started enjoying the tweet drama.
One Twitter user @DanielFisherjourno tweeted on Nobel Prize committee’s handle as, “Bet Malala would have answered the phone. RT: @NobelPrize_org @OPCW Please contact us @Nobelprize_org we are trying get through to your office,” it said.
Another Twitter handle @Maria_Menon tweeted, “Even OPCW isn’t taking the announcement seriously,” it said.
The OPCW is the apex body in dealing with the prohibition of chemical weapons across the world. The tweets at the Nobel Prize committee and for OPCW brought much amazement on twitter world.
