Petty quarrel fires bullets in local train

The ruckus turned so bad that bullets were fired at a passenger named Tabrej Jethva

AP I IND INDIA RAILWAY BUDGETMumbai: The incidents of small arguments turning to big quarrels are on the rise while traveling on Mumbai local trains. Many a times the passenger compromises only after one dies in the ruckus.

On Friday night, around 11, arguments heated up the atmosphere in the CST-Ambarnath local train. There was a small quarrel over seating in luggage compartment. The ruckus turned so bad that bullets were fired at a passenger named Tabrej Jethva. He has been severely injured in the attack and railway police took him to Agarwal hospital at first and then he was taken to Sion hospital.

Tabrej had arguments with four over the seating arrangement in the luggage compartment. The co-passengers warned him. When the local train reached Nahur railway station, they fired bullets at Tabrej and ran away.

Railway police has filed a crime case in this matter and a thorough search of the assailants is carried out. It is a weird routine to have quarrels and beatings in locals at peak hours over petty issues. Now the bullets have been fired in the local over petty reasons. The incident has raised a serious issue of passengers’ security.
