Rolls-Royce launches Rs 4.60 cr ‘Wraith’ in Maharashtra
Rolls-Royce launched its new model ‘Wraith’ worth Rs 4.60 crore, in Maharashtra
“India remains one of the most important markets for us in Asia. ‘Wraith’ is drawing interest from the new customers who have not considered a Rolls-Royce before. We are more than optimistic for India,” Rolls Royce, General Manager for Emerging Markets-Asia, Herfried Hasenoehrl said.
Asked about the impact of the rupee decline and weak consumer sentiments on sales, he said the prevalent economic conditions did not have any impact on its sales performance as it caters to a “niche” market. “We are cautiously optimistic about this year.”
He said the company has sold 250 cars in India since it re-entered here in 2005 after a five-decade break, but did not give year-wise break up or growth figures.
The company is setting up dealerships in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh this year as part of its plans to reach out to more prospective buyers, he said.
To promote the new model, the company will take the car to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh after Delhi and Mumbai.
