Sindhudurg: The tourism development plan is of approximately Rs 1500 crore and includes 105 tourist places in the district. As suggested by the Minister in-Charge of The District Narayan Rane, revised plan which is in the last stage of making will be presented to the government within a month.
A special development fund can be received from Central and State Government after getting this plan approved, informed Collector E Ravindran.
The responsibility to prepare this plan is given by the State Government to Creative Eye Company based in Nagpur. This company has already presented a primary plan. But Narayan Rane suggested some changes in that plan from district tourism point of view. He has instructed to present the revised plan within a month.
People in the district are looking forward to the question of minor minerals. The Collector said that State Government has come up with a policy for the same and it will be presented to the Supreme Court for resolution.
‘Take action on the Democracy Day application’
The Collector, E. Ravindran has instructed concerned departments to take immediate action on the delayed application of Democracy Day. The meeting of District Coordination Committee was held at District Planning Commission hall under the guidance of E Ravindran. He reviewed the workings of delayed application for Democracy Day.
All the departments should work towards resolving complains of public. If Head of Departments keep any application on hold, note that an appropriate action will be taken against them, he warned. Collection of flag fund was also reviewed in this meeting.
