Rs 50 lakh per year for the development of natives of Konkan: Nilesh Rane
Dr. Rane assured his active support and cooperation to social groups for development of ‘Konkani Manus’
Dombivli: Dr. Nilesh Rane appealed the social mandals to come together for the development of the natives of Konkan here. Rane who is a member of parliament, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Loksabha constituency, declared a sum of Rs 50 lakh per year for development work from his MP funds quota.
He was talking at the anniversary program of Sindhudurg Konkan Rahivasi Mitra Mandal, here. The mandal has been organizing various social programs from past nine years. The program organized at Umeshnagar Naka also saw felicitation of bright students and distribution of educational material in the hands of Dr. Rane.
Rane praised the works done by the mandal and said, “A sum of Rs. 50 lakh will be made available through MP funds quota every year for the social activities. The natives of Konkan are simple and of good heart. Social groups should take initiative for the development of Konkani manus. I will actively cooperate for the programs,” he said.
Vishwanath Rane, Congress corporator, said, “Natives of Konkan and Rane family has a strong bondage. Rane family members have transformed Konkan and have brought the development flood,” he said.
A special Dashavtar program was organized to commemorate the anniversary program. Many Dashavtar enthusiasts turned up in large numbers for the program.
