ST earns 1.87 crore during Ganesh festival
ST Corporation earned whopping returns of Rs 1,87,30,000 by 1317 extra rounds of buses
Ratnagiri: Maharashtra State Transport buses and Railway gets full reservations during Ganesh Festival. Many prefer to directly book ST buses to visit their native place in Konkan villages. State Transport Corporation had run 1317 extra rounds to villages in Konkan on the account of Ganesh Festival and a whopping return of Rs 1,87,30,000 could be earned by Rantagiri division. There is tremendous increase in the income than last year.
This year, travellers preferred ST buses along with railway as rainfall was nominal during the fest. Extra buses were transported from 13th to 22nd September. Last year Rs 1.26 crore of profit was made by 1285 rounds.
