State to invest Rs1800 crore in Vidarbha textile industry
The State government will run a special program for the developments of Vidarbha
Nagpur: The State government will run a special program for the developments in Vidarbha. The Textile Industry department of the government will invest Rs 1800 crore under this program which will also create around 15,000 new jobs.
Currently, 500 textile businesses have already been started in the state, other will be started soon. 14 new textile business parks will be opened which will create 14 thousand additional job opportunities, informed the Textile Minister Mohammad Arif.
Private businessmen have given huge response to this new textile industry policy of the state government. The investment of Rs 3931 crore in 580 textile unites has already taken place. The process to give subsidy to the investors has been started online.
The government has introduced various programs to prevent the suicides of farmers in Vidarbha. This scheme to subsidies textile businesses in Vidarbha is part of it. Vidarbha, Marathwada and Khandesh have produced 90 lakh cotton bales. After completing its process in the state, rest of the cotton will be exported.
