Vengurle: Minister of Agriculture and Marketing Radhakrisha Vikhe-Patil said at the inauguration of Fruit cultivation ward and laboratory here that a full fledged facility could be constructed in Vengurle Fruit Research Center through Konkan package for process, training and detection, by the efforts and perseverance of Former Chief Minister Narayan Rane. A fruit production ward also started. Farmers must utilize these advanced technologies in agriculture and fruits cultivation and must also implement valuable education for self-development.
Meanwhile, university must attempt by using foreign technology to create a better drink by cashew seeds like grape wine and send a proposal to Agriculture ministry regarding this, it will be approved, he instructed to the Agriculture University. He also assured that the board for mango and cashew will be started in Konkan before Diwali.

Mango producers would get good rates for their fruit due to of this cultivation center. We are attempting to gain pace in cashew processing. We are also trying to rejuvenate MahaMangola. University should also consider increasing cultivation of Sugarcane in this district and send a proposal regarding research in the production of Sugarcane, he added.
