…Then naxals may mushroom in Konkan
Narayan Rane opposes the Eco Sensitive Zone
Mandangad: Narayan Rane pointed out that the people of Konkan could not survive only looking at the nature. The industry Minister feared that If the CRZ and forest related acts were implemented, people may turn to naxalism in the land of Konkan with the lack of unemployment and growth here on Thursday.
He was speaking at the Congress pledge completion rally here. Rane strongly opposed the idea of bringing the villages of Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri under the Eco Sensitive zone. The district in-charge minister of Sindhudurg, Rane also opposed the proposed idea on Wednesday in cabinet meeting where Jayant Patil, rural development minister supported Rane’s stand.
As per the Dr Kasturirangan report on western ghats, Eco-sensitive Zone is proposed to implement in Konkan specially in the villages of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg and necessary actions are also taken place in the direction.
Rane has always stood up for the development of Konkan and he strongly opposed the idea that would stop the growth of Konkan. He asked, “If whole of the villages are noted under the Eco Sensitive Zone, then how come the villages do progress?” He feared that if the region of Konkan comes under Eco Sensitive Zone, without growth and employment the locals would turn to naxalism.
The minister also attacked the Shivsena-BJP coalition during his speech. He said, “I took all the arrows from the Sena while joining the Congress party. Now what is the use of lone bow?,” he said. He said that in coming time the Shivsena, the shop in the name of Matoshri would soon be closed.
Even Narendra Modi, the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP was not saved from Rane’s attack. He referred Modi as ‘a groom in waiting without the bride and of the marriage’. He attacked BJP and said that Bhartiya Janata Party was the number one corrupted party in the country and said that the Congress never supported the corruption.
While speaking on the Dapoli assembly constituency, Rane attacked MLA Dalvi and said, “The time has come to turn the 25 years old bread.” He also said that the people should change their representatives in state assembly as well as in the parliament so as to bring the growth. Rane assured to take necessary steps for the industrial colonies in the taluka.
