Two minor girls escape unhurt in acid attack


Dehradun: Two minor girls escaped unhurt when as many bike-borne masked youth allegedly threw acid on them in Lansdowne area, a senior official said today.

The incident took place yesterday when two 13-year-old girls, both neighbours, residing in Chailusen township had gone to fetch water from a handpump, Lansdowne SDM Sohan Singh Soni said.

Suddenly two masked youth came on the motorcycle and threw acid on them. However the acid fell on their winter clothes and they were escaped unhurt, he said.

According to SDM, a case will be registered soon in this connection.
