Two youths killed in tanker blazes on National Highway-8

accident1Thane: In a major accident on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway last evening, two youths were killed when the LPG tanker in which they were travelling caught fire.

As per the Bilar police report, the tanker was on its way from Gujarat to Mumbai. At Talwada, on Maharashtra-Gujarat border, the tanker overturned while trying to avoid hitting a scooter-rider in the front, and caught fire.

Govind Dhanade (25) of Patilpada and Deepak Valvi (21) of Paraspada in the district were trapped inside the driver’s cabin and were killed. The driver somehow managed to jump out and ran away, police said.
