Veteran Marathi music director Anand Modak died of heart attack today in the noon at Pune

Anand-ModakPune: Veteran Marathi music director Anand Modak died of heart attack today in the noon at Pune. He was 63 years old. He was admitted in hospital on Thursday due to health complains but succumbed to death today. His remains will be kept at residence at Kotharud for last visit.

Modak started his career in Music with well known Marathi play Ghashiram Kotwal; later he gave music to various other plays including Teen Paishancha Tamasha, Padgham. His musical journey extended from theater, radio, television to cinema.

Plenty of Super hit Marathi films like Ek Hota Vidushak, Chowkat Raja, Harishchandrachi Factory, Mukta, Tu Tithe Me, Kalat-Nakalat and some Hindi films were enriched with his melodious compositions. His music programs like Sajanvela, Amrutgatha, Shewanticha Ban, Preetrang, Aakhyan Tukobache were popular. He had recently composed music for film Yashwantrao Chavan.
