Vidarbha reels under heatwave; Akola sizzles at 44 degrees
After a fortnight lull, mercury again rose in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, where Akola was yesterday the hottest district at 44 degrees Celsius
Amravati and Bramhapuri recorded 43.3 and 43.2 degrees Celsius respectively as the region reeled under heatwave conditions.
Nagpur, the State’s second capital, was slightly better at 41.9 degrees Celsius after a day-long cloudy weather and a brief spell of showers early in the morning.
