Vidarbha to develop from industries
Industry Minister Narayan Rane’s commitment for Vidarbha’s development
Nagpur: “The people of Vidarbha would be happy only when there will be economic prosperity in this region and it can be done by the industrial development,” Industry Minister Narayan Rane told the Vidhansabha here.
He confirmed that the efforts were taking place to give pace to the industries through ‘Advantage Vidarbha’.
The proposal on the irrigation and industries in Vidarbha was tabled under rule 293 by Prof. Virendra Jagtap, Dr. Rajendra Shingane and Vijay Wadettiwar.
While answering the discussion in this regard, Rane gave a brief summary of the efforts taking place for the industry in Vidarbha.
He said, “Efforts are needed to build the confidence among the industries coming to Vidarbha and all should take efforts in it. The industrialists should feel confident that this region is safe for industrial establishment. The people’s representatives should take efforts for making this to happen,” he said.
Rane informed the house that special privileges were given to the industries coming to Vidarbha. Efforts are taken through ‘Advantage Vidarbha’.
Last year an industrialists’ conference was held at Nagpur during February 25 and 26 in which 28 contracts have been signed and it was expected that the investment would bring the investment of Rs 14, 838.10 Crore, he said.
Rane said out of them 25 of the projects’ establishing work was in progress. The industry minister assured that numerous job opportunities for the youth through this investment in the region.
He said, “Better infrastructural development would attract the industrialists. Thus the state government has sanctioned the funds of Rs 3000 crore for the infrastructural development in the industrial colonies cross the state. In which Rs 475 crore has been sanctioned for lone Vidarbha.”
Rane further said that if the sanctioned amount turned short, the government would grant more funds for infrastructural development.
Addressing the house, Rane said that the industrialists were keen to invest in those regions where there was a healthy environment for the industrial growth. Thus he expected cooperation from the people’s representatives to form such healthy environment.
Mentioning the other industrial investments in Vidarbha, Rane said that the government was taking efforts to initiate the local industrialists to grow in the region.
The minister told that the orders had been given to inform the locals for provisions of getting the land, how to choose a particular business, raising the funds for the industry and other formalities to enhance the local industrial units.
He said there has been Rs 30,000 crore investment has been done yet so far and out of that 3,20,000 people could get employment.
But the minister said that more employment generation was needed in the region. He assured the house that efforts were taking place through ‘Advantage Vidarbha’.
