Vodafone aims third slot in enterprise business this fiscal
Vodafone India is aiming to become third largest player in enterprise business in the current financial year
“We have to get the number three spot to become a respected player, if these are the services we want to offer we need to get some amount of scale to be having a end to end presence otherwise you become a marginal player,” Vodafone India Director (Vodafone Business Services) Naveen Chopra said.
He said currently Bharti Airtel, BSNL and Reliance Communications are in the top three slots.
The company has categorised four segments for its enterprise services which include very large global companies, large companies, small and medium businesses and government sector.
Chopra said earlier, Vodafone was essentially a mobility player but now it has added fixed line and also more products to the mobility portfolio.
“We have extended the number of cities. We have some form of enterprise presence in almost 250 cities, which almost covers 85-90 per cent of the market,” Chopra said.
Currently Vodafone is offering services to 65,000 companies and revenue from enterprise segment contributes over 12 per cent to the overall revenue of the company.
The segment is growing at over 20 per cent every year, beating the industry growth rate which is growing at around 7 per cent.
