Mumbai: Mumbai Police has kept no stone unturned for the security provisions on Wankhede stadium ahead of Sachin Tendulkar’s 200th Test Match to be held tomorrow. 1196 Police personal are alert on the venue.
Looking at the rush for tickets and black market, Police is appealing audience to beware of duplicate tickets.
MCA has installed 352 CCTVs in a stadium as a security measure and audiences are also under plenty restrictions like not to carry water bottles and coins along with them etc.
145 Metal Detectors on seven entrances of the stadium along with six bomb squads and defusers, 12 Quick Action Teams, 16 Advanced Marksmen vehicles and six teams of State Reserve Forces are all set for tomorrow on Wankhede. Police have also recommended Tendulkar not to wander alone on ground but remain with team only for security purpose, as informed by the sources.
