West Indies beat India by 124 runs in 1st ODI

DhoniKochi: West Indies thrashed India by 124 runs in the first cricket ODI here today to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

Batting first, West Indies scored 321 for six riding on Marlon Samuels’ unbeaten 126 in company of Denesh Ramdin, who chipped in with 61. In reply, India were all-out for 197 in only 41 overs.

Put in to bat, West Indies scored 321 for six in the first One-day International against India.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl against the West Indies in the first One-day International here.

India have picked three seamers, with Amit Mishra and Ravindra Jadeja forming the two-man spin attack.
