Woman constable attacked in Maha, three held
Mumbai: A woman constable was allegedly attacked by seven persons while she was on duty to remove encroachments in Ahmednagar district here following which three of them were arrested, police said today.
“We have registered an offence under section 307 for attempt to murder,” Additional SP Shailesh Balkawde told reporters.
“Three of the seven accused have been taken into custody,” he said.
Incidentally, Maharashtra’s minister of state for Home Ram Shinde hails from Ahmednagar district.
