Work of Ghotge-Parame Bridge finally starts
Work for the most demanded Ghotge-Parane Bridge on Tilari River at Dodamarg is finally commenced
Dodamarg: Work for the most demanded Ghotge-Parane Bridge on Tilari River at Dodamarg is finally commenced. The ground breaking ceremony of this ambitious project took place at the hands of the Member of Parliament for Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency, Dr Nilesh Rane on Friday. This bridge will finally stop the life threatening boat ride of villagers in Ghotge and Parame village.
The villagers of Parame-Ghotge villages, located beyond the Tilari River, suffers especially in monsoon when they have to cross the river in small boats as the causeway built by Patbandhare department is low in height which goes under water during heavy rains. So the school children and villagers have to travel in this river by life threatening boats during rains.
Children have to miss their school when this river flows higher than a danger level. Medical treatments cannot reach on time to the patients; many have lost their lives to this during last few years.
The villagers were demanding a bridge at common point where both the villages could connect or increase the level of causeway. Dr Nilesh Rane took note of people’s trouble and made attempts to complete their most awaited demand.
